The vehicle was restarted and driven fifty feet; however, it hesitated and shut off again. In addition, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. If your fan is going out, or the temperature sensor is acting up, the car could have been running a bit too warm while on and will be that much hotter when the cooling systems turn off.
